Witchcraft, Ritualistic Magick

And The Origins Of Religious Faiths Old And New

Written By Master Wizard James R. Morgan ll

The largest distinction between the Old Religions of Witchcraft and Ritualistic magick that initially originated from Judaism and Islamic tradition are that witchcraft not only is rooted in the more ancient Paganistic societies predating all other forms of Catholic, Orthodox, Islamic or Jewish worship by at least two or three thousand years if not more.

It is also different in the way of being primarily concerned with Elemental worship or the changing seasons unlike the other forms of worship mentioned above.

The oldest living religions in the world predating Christianity and other religious traditions can be found in the Chinese faith systems that like witchcraft tends to mix the Elementals. Goddess and God aspects not to mention the positive and negative polarities of Universe and nature.

Likened to witchcraft these systems have also used Ancestral worship to convey prayers to the higher form of the spiritual nature as is also very commonly found and practiced in many Native American forms of traditional nature worship.

The unique thing about these generalizations of faith system and or mass shared view is that these systems have successfully incorporated the duel role of sexes into duality of purpose such as good and evil by a given God or Goddess ruled over by a certain polarity etc.

I've pretty much covered the unfolding of mans primitive faith systems in previous pages concerning the evolution from our earliest system of  Elemental worship on up to the God and Goddess worship and onward to the One God concept.

Moreover I've stated that if one researches back far enough through the ancient belief systems a person will find that they all blend into one another at various points in our spiritual evolution the further you go back.

In other words we all started out with one big story that was broken down to fit a particular culture in a specific time period.

Man in his preoccupation with  good and evil and or in a effort to explain his world a little better began structuring the God/Goddess systems as he began applying given names to the distinct elementals.

This development of various Deity structures stemming from or out of the Elemental age not only gave man some form of control over his environment by being able to explain his Universe but also in way certain negative or positive events that had occurred in his life.

When people fell in love it was most certainly the Goddess Venus  and her messenger of Cupid that caused this to happen. When the relationship went south it was the War God of Mars behind this treachery without question.

On the other hand if Venus was in her negative cycles according to ancient Astrologers then she could invoke divine anger against a random couple that would intern cause a relationship to go sour.

Again, Mars in his positive cycle could override the scorn of Venus and salvage the relationship. This of course depended on the right offerings and correct words were spoken in a prayer.

The ancient Alchemist and Magicians understood the Lunar and Solar cycles and moreover knew that these planetary and seasonal cycles affected the human brain in given ways.   They  knew that certain things might occur in various planetary phases.

It was much easier for for Chiefs and Wizard to place occurring events under the God/Dess belief systems as this was more excepted then the scientific version or what could have been happening as a result of natural earthly evolvement and planetary spins.

In the beginning of the Elemental age most tribes were into hunting and thus the God/Dess systems tended to consist of aggressive deity verses latter in history when agriculture was more prevalent and the aggressive Divinity was replaced with more docile Entities geared to farming and crops.

However if the harvest went bad then this of course met that Zeus was angered in some way or that Hara had something to do with it all.

In a effort the village Magician or Enchantress would conjure the assistance of the Goddess Morgan or Other in the hopes that she could offer them the power of her magick that would hopefully render a spell to quill the anger of Zeus or any other God or Goddess that they might have offended.

Giving names to the primordial Elementals and structuring a given the God/Dess system wasn't such a bad thing in my opinion as it did give us some comfort in the way of organizing not only our local environments but placed our entire universe in a chronigical order. It gave us a manual in which to live by.

Was this the correct natural order of things and or Divinity to any manually devised faith system ?. I would say who's to say.

However I personally believe that Divinity consist of many things and who answer to and have been addressed by numerous and or countless names all throughout time.

Even in the early days of Paganism or the God/Dess cults when Godly anger was invoked of a village blame was for the most part attributed to a mortal being either by speaking or physical doing something out of turn to man or Divinity however this started changing in many faith systems as the concept of many Gods and Goddesses were fading way and were moreover being replaced with the one God theory or widely recognized belief system.

In the current Chinese based belief systems the duality of good and evil still exist pertaining to a localized God/Dess system derived from the Elemental period however at the same time this particular belief system places great emphases on the natural positive and negative energies flowing around them in their living environments.

These Energies are more commonly referred to as the Red and Blue or Green Dragons. In these ancient but modified faith structures anger can still be invoked by a misplaced word or deed however they seemingly attempt to correct this through offerings, prayers of forgiveness, and manipulating the energies around them through different forms of alchemy to which seems to work.

One can observe the same things going on in Christianity to a much lesser extent in the way that prayers of forgiveness are yielded up to God and a candle is lit and so on.

Given that in ancient Paganistic societies had Priest likened Catholicism and other mainstream religions they seemed to have had more access to their Divinity in the way of not always having to go through the priest to get something done unlike Christianity.

Also unlike Christianity when something bad happened to someone this was as a result of something that the person did to another or their infraction against certain part of Divinity rather then a specific part of Divinity making them do the ill deed or moreover that a part of Divinity was out to get them for no reason at all.

With the rise and fall or Kingdoms and Religions the mix that over all religion has evolved into can be quite confusing to say the least.

Ritualistic magick has existed sense the dawning of time notably perfected by the Druids however I believe it was perfected much latter in time during the One God period or back about the time of Pre-Judaism and pre-Old Testament that really took off during the New Testament age.

As we ascended further and further beyond and away from the Elemental and God/Dess periods and entered into newer faith systems doing away with the rest of what we considered to be Divinity at the time Ritualistic magick and ritual as we know it today was complied in two or three main systems that have endured time and that can be found in practice today.

The term Ritualistic magick really belongs more so to middle eastern and Christian systems and not to witchcraft as they worship Jehovah, Ala, or God.

The Witches or Wicca seven Sabbats belong to the world of Paganism and the worshiping of the God and Goddess.

The terms of Ritualistic Ritual and Sabbats are misused and confused quite allot these days but if you ever have a chance to witness the rites of Sabbat or Ritual you'll see that they are very much the same in the way of repeating a mass in the same way each and every time it's performed. The only real differences is in the way it's performed.

The times it's performed and who is being called or invoked in the ceremony its self.  The Witches Sabots are primarily concerned with honoring the God or Goddess of the seasonal change verses Palm Sunday that places enfaces on Jesus The Christ.

Please remember that I'm speaking generally here regarding religious orders and faith systems for the reason that man made faith structures tend to branch off into hundreds if not thousands of various other disciplines.

For instance: Catholicism splintered from Orthodoxy then Lutheranism and numerous others right on down to Satanism that derived it's practices in the exact reverse of the Catholic rituals but states that it has no associations to the church.  These disciplines developed differences of opinion and on and on they went.

This is also the case regarding Wicca or Wiccan communities and faith systems as some will worship the God. Some the Goddess yet other will recognize both depending on who you speak to and thus I am only speaking generally here but at the same time giving the Viewer some insight to the common factors and differences that exist within each system.

The old belief system were more complicated then the new ones however they accepted responsibility for whatever action was carried out verses the new systems that take no responsibility and blame everything on the Devil.

Today Ritualistic Magick is both a broadly and loosely used term or description by just about everyone out there on the net from the Solitary Witch to the hard core Necromancer to which is also a form of Paganistic worship of the ancient Babylonian Gods and Goddesses verses those that practice the magical discipline of Enochian that is derived from the Old Testament in the book of the Prophet Enoch.

Enochian is considered to be ritualistic Old Testament magick and Satanism would be looked at as the other end of ritualistic magick even though one is Old Testament and the other stems from the New Testaments of Christ.

The Golden Dawn as well as other modern day magical text are a combination of the two disciplines as both Angels of light and darkness can be found working together in this text under certain planetary rotations verses the Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey that seemingly focused on the negative aspects of Heaven.

Some Satanist consider themselves as earthly Gods in some cases that achieve their goals by manipulating raw Elemental Forces much like the Kings and high Wizards of the ancient world in certain regions. For Example: The King of Babylon that conveniently named himself Lucifer and decreed that all should look upon him as a God.

The Keys of King Solomon can be considered Ritualistic magick as they belong to the Old Testament that intern was the forerunner to the Testaments of Christ the Savor. In the Keys of Solomon one can find repetitive Ritualistic movements using a structured order of both light and dark angels much like can be found in the Golden Dawn that also speaks in regards to the building of Solomon's Temple that ended up housing the Ark Of The Lost Covenant.

Let me also say at this time that many accounts in both the Old and New Testaments can be found in Paganistic renditions involving the Gods and Goddesses of old instead of God and Angels however because of the origin of this belief system these stories or accounts and rites stemming from these accounts are considered Sabots instead of rituals.

Today many in the magical communities are combining the Old Ways of Witchcraft Sabot in with the newer forms of Ritualistic practices derived from the Old and New Testaments of Judaism and Messianic Judaism thus closing the gap between the mystical worlds that have been separated for so long.

More and more people are beginning to see Divinity as many within the one or one within the many if you will.  Let me just stop and say at this point please don't get the mysticism confused with mainstream Christianity as this discipline pretty much preaches and teaches against any form of magical practice short of the Catholic Priest performing it themselves. It states in the Bible at one point that God shall not suffer a mystic to live or one that practices magick. I often times wonder how they get around this part of their ideology lol.

What is religion but the preconceived notions of Ideology set to disparate circumstance and yet how much more is faith without title or restriction. When it boils down to what's real and what's not I would say that one may worship Divinity in whatever way that seems best to them as it is their relationship with the Divine that counts more so then anything else. Ritualistic magick is a more constructed form of magical discipline that does in fact work however there is a ever present danger of Dogma that intern stunts spiritual growth.

But there again one is not confined or bound to Dogma's chains be it with the Practitioners of Enochian magick or in the circles of the Goddess or God. The recognition of  Divinity as a whole isn't a bad thing and venturing out on to the less traveled road can be a very enlightening experience at times.

There is allot to be said regarding every mainstream doctrine in the world as there is much to be learned from them but it's also good to keep in mind that all religions are as fallible as the flawed people who created them. In other words it's much easier to learn Ritualistic Magick and quote from the Bible more so then it is to learn how to speak from the heart to Divinity.

The strongest Magick in the world lives in the heart of the righteous who's love for Divinity grows by the day and thus it is possible for one in this mind set to pave the thorny path with gold and bliss.  It is my most sincere hope and wish that this page has helped someone in some small way. Peace. Love and Safety to all.

Necromonicon Fact & Fiction

What is the Necronomicon?   You have heard this name before, knowing it is associated with some type of magic or spellwork......

The Necronomicon is a mythical book created by a pulp fiction writer by the name of H.P. Lovecraft. H.P. or Howard Phillips, used the book as a prop in several of his science-fantasy stories about a race of beings from another universe called the "Old Ones". The main God is "Cthulhu ", an ancient god who was put to rest millennia ago by the Elder Gods. Cthulhu and his cohorts found  entry back into this world to wreak havoc---moreover to destroy entire worlds, and literally eat them !

The Necronomicon gives explicit instructions on how to summon the Old Ones and how to break the seals that bind them from re-entering this plane.

Does the book work?  The book is accompanied by a stern and very serious warning NOT to use the book unless you have many years of experience in magical practice.

The person who managed to put all of the books together and gave the world living proof that this works,  had the wherewithal to research the Summerian and Babylonian cultures for names of their Gods, Spirits and Demons.

These he culled along with the words of power, prayers, incantations and assorted sigilata from different references in the New York public library as well from his own private collection of books covering mythology, religion and magic.

He actually  created a system of Summo-Babylonian Magic that worked. This he put under one cover and called it The Necronomicon.

I CAN vouch for the validity of this book since I've used its rituals, spells and incantations within it with much success! I know you're screaming, "IT'S NOT THE NECRONOMICON!" and you're right, it's NOT Lovecraft's Necronomicon.   H.P. Lovecraft wrote the fictional version of this book, and had the original idea.

Let's look at this from a logical standpoint shall we?

1. The Simon Necronomicon IS a book of Summerian & Babylonian magic.

2. It is a system that is totally consistent within and of itself.

3. It has been successfully used by hundreds of practicing Sorcerers and Magicians for years.

4. It has very little if NOTHING to do with H.P. Lovecraft.  A reminder:  we are speaking of the REAL magic of Necronomicon that is practiced in magic today that is real, and is very strong in power.

It is NOT a book of fake magic nor is it an unusable system! It is modern grimoire penned by Slater  who re furbished the H.P. Lovecraft fictional version----and (most likely) several of his cronies to make a buck or two. But he did know enough about Ritual Magic to make it a workable system. THAT, my friend, is exactly what it IS!

Shouts From Heaven.......

Oh how I just LOVE to hear the 'experienced' Ceremonial Magician proclaim at the top of their lungs about how the Necronomicon is a fake and not the real McCoy. Okay so it's NOT Lovecraft's book. Big honkin' deal! Only an idiot would keep that berating that point incessantly!

And yes----- there are a ton of Ceremonial Magicians, Wizards, Sorceresses, and Wiccan Occultists who thrive on proving to others of how much they know by telling everyone, 'The Necronomicon is a fake!' Oh my… please… once again, they speak of Lovecraft's fictional version.

I've just showed you that there are two books, grimoires if you will, that are merely using the title of The Necronomicon (as a selling point!) One is really absurd, the Hay edition, and the other would actually be better called, A Handbook of Summo-Babylonian Magic but for marketing reasons, the name of the Necronomicon will stay with it for a long, long time.

In summary, I hope I've given you something to think about and if you wish to try it, then use extreme caution with a concious decision in knowing what you are about to summon.   Why listen to cynics since they're "do-nothings" anyway? If you know anything about Magic, you should be able to use either book, but more preferably the Simon edition, in your Magical practices.

Truly this article should give you substantial enlightment about the Necronomicon and the hows and whys of how people have been mis-informed in regards to whether or not it "really" works.  Obviously, IT REALLY DOES WORK----so heed the warning before actually attempting  to perform a Rite Of The Necromonicon, because it is truly very real, tangible, and dangerous magic when in the wrong and in-experienced hands of the magical novice.

As the Old Books say......" Do not stoop down and look into the Depths Of The Abyss"......do you dare?  What you may see if you DO stoop down and look be prepared beforehand to experience the darkness of The Abyss and to place yourself into the mighty hands of the God Cuthulu himself!!!
